Thank you for another year of outstanding growth and the introduction of new versions of our software which includes compatibility with the recently released Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (and all previous versions)!
In a recent post on the Microsoft SQL Server Forum entitled "How can I set SO_TIMEOUT on the sockets used by the JDBC 2005 driver?", we can find the follwing question regarding issues with the Microsoft JDBC Driver: "Please correct me if I'm wrong but there is no possibility to configure socket (or read) timeout for MS SQL Server JDBC driver. From my perspective it is a must have feature as network issues can cause thread hanging if there is no configured timeout. I will be very appreciate if you could support socket level timeout."
Why wait? JSQLConnect already has this capability. It is known as loginTimeout.
For more details visit the JSQLConnect web page and you can also download a free trial of the software.
